5 Ways to Live Better with Health, Vitamins and Chinese Medicine

Vegetables full of VitaminsHolistic health practitioners have long recognized that combining healthy living, vitamins and Chinese medicine is key to achieving wellness of the spirit, mind, and body. These healthy living tips will help you live better -- holistically, every day.

Take supplements. As much as we try to eat a well-balanced diet, 81% of nutritionists agree that most people have gaps in their diets when it comes to getting the right vitamins and minerals. Consult with your medical professional to determine what you need for your age, gender, and lifestyle.

Get adequate sleep. Being sleep-deprived can weaken constitution and cause illness. Make sure you are getting the recommended amount of quality sleep each night.

Reduce stress. Take active steps to recognize and control stress. Vitamins and Chinese Medicine-oriented practices of yoga, qigong, meditation, and tai chi can reduce stress and enhance health.

Exercise daily. Exercise every day, raising your heart rate for at least 30 minutes. This helps improve health and reduce stress, and it can boost the circulation of your qi or energy.

Practice Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). A TCM lifestyle is very important in determining overall health. TCM integrates holistic lifestyle recommendations and treatments to bring about balance for physical, mental, and emotional health. And, the five pillars of TCM, including acupuncture, Chinese herbs, tui na, qigong exercises, and lifestyle/dietary habits, are effective at treating many health conditions and common ailments.
