Financial Aid - Acupuncture and Massage College

Acupuncture and Massage College has been approved as an eligible institution by the United States Department of Education to participate in Federal Title IV Student Aid Programs, which include the Pell Grant & Federal Direct Loan programs. Please note students must be US citizens, US permanent residents, or be an “eligible non-citizen” in order to be eligible for Federal funding. Students who do not qualify for Federal Student Aid are eligible for a payment plan option.

Acupuncture and Massage College has the following Federal / State Aid programs available to students who qualify (with an error-free FAFSA processed in a timely manner):

  • Federal Pell Grant - is a federal grant awarded to students on the basis of financial need and does not have to be repaid. Pell Grants are only awarded to undergraduate students who have not yet earned a bachelor’s or a professional degree.
  • Florida Student Assistance Grant (FSAG) – is a need-based grant funded by the State of Florida available to full-time students who meet Florida residency requirements and are enrolled in an Associate or Bachelor`s degree program. This grant is available in the Fall & Winter semesters.
  • Subsidized Direct Loan –are loans for undergraduate students with financial need. Repayment begins 6 months after a student graduates or is no longer enrolled at least half time. The interest rate on Federal Direct Subsidized loans borrowed by undergraduate students between July 1, 2022 and June 30, 2023 is 4.99%.
  • Unsubsidized Direct Loans –are loans for both undergraduate and graduate students that are not based on financial need. The interest rate on Federal Direct Unsubsidized loans borrowed by undergraduate students between July 1, 2022 and June 30, 2023 is 4.99% and the interest rate for graduate/professional students is 5.28%. Interest accrues on this loan from the time the loan is disbursed until it is paid in full.
  • Federal Direct PLUS Loan –are loans available to parents of dependent undergraduate students and also for graduate and professional students. It is an affordable, low-interest loan designed to help students and parents pay for a college education. The Direct Plus Loan accrues interest while the student is enrolled at least half-time and during deferment periods. A mandatory credit check is completed as eligibility for this loan depends upon the borrower’s creditworthiness. Repayment of principal and interest begins 60 days after the loan is first disbursed. The interest rate on Federal Direct PLUS and Grad Plus loans borrowed between July 1, 2022 and June 30, 2022 is 6.28%.
