At Acupuncture and Massage College, our acupuncture school classes start three times a year (January, April, and September), and our massage school classes start approximately every four weeks.
There are many factors to consider. One important factor related to accreditation, which might affect flexibility to transfer your credits and/or your license if you have to move in the future. AMC is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges, (ACCSC), and by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine (ACAHM). Both are accredited by the US Department of Education.
The term Oriental Medicine describes a form of medicine practiced in Asia that incorporates Acupuncture, Chinese Herbs, Oriental Bodywork as well as Nutritional and Lifestyle Counseling.
The Master of Oriental Medicine program is a four academic year program, but it is designed to be completed in 36 months (3-years).

In AMC’s Oriental Medicine Program you will be required to complete hundreds of hours in our busy Intern Clinic. During your first year, you will practice Oriental bodywork and begin interviewing patients. In your second year, you will train in the use of Acupuncture needling techniques and strategies. In your third year, you will incorporate the practice of herbal medicine into your treatments.
Massage Therapy means the manipulation of the superficial tissue of the human body with the hands, feet, arms, or elbows. A Massage Therapist is a person licensed to administer Massage Therapy.
Shiatsu is a Japanese bodywork modality that is based on the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Our Massage Therapy program is designed to be completed in 8.25 months for day students, and 9.5 months for night students. There are six 4-week academic modules and one clinical module.
The minimum entrance requirements are: 1). To be 18 years old, 2). To have a High School Diploma (or GED equivalency).
