Free Acupuncture For Veterans in Miami

US War VeteranVeterans can receive free acupuncture treatments as part of a posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) study to be held at Acupuncture & Massage College’s Community Clinic, located at 10506 N. Kendall Drive, Miami.

Classified as an anxiety disorder, PTSD can result from the experience or witnessing of traumatic or life-threatening events such as terrorist attack, violent crime, torture, genocide, natural disaster, and military combat. If you qualify and are interested, call (305) 595-9500 to enroll in the study. PTSD symptoms may include:
• Insomnia.
• Stress.
• Anxiety.
• Depression.

The purpose of this study will be to evaluate the effectiveness of acupuncture therapy as treatment for the management of PTSD symptoms among veterans. Sessions will include assessments of PTSD symptoms.
Study participants will be evaluated for medical history, given a physical exam and questionnaires on symptoms and lifestyle related to PTSD.

Appointments will be scheduled on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Veterans can receive a free month of acupuncture therapy, up to 12 acupuncture treatments. Call (305) 595-9500 to enroll.
