While doing research on the cost of acupuncture schools, it quickly came to my attention that there were few credible sources that listed the tuition prices for ACAOM-accredited acupuncture schools on a state by state basis.

The reasons for this is unknown to me, since tuition and other important is publicly listed and can be found on each college’s website. While the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM) provides a directory of accredited acupuncture schools, it does not list much information beyond some simple contact information.

While creating such a directory is way beyond the scope of this blog, what we can do is list some specific information about each ACAOM-accredited acupuncture schools in Florida.

Directory Key

Institution and Location: The name of each ACAOM-accredited college and where it’s located in Florida.

Program: The name of the program provided by the institution and the tuition amount listed on the college’s website. While some colleges offer doctoral programs, a Master’s degree is currently the minimum level of education required for entry-level practice as an acupuncture physician. As such, we’ll only be listing Master-level programs that meet state licensing requirements set by the Florida Board of Acupuncture.

Keep in mind that tuition can change any semester, so contact each individual institution directly to confirm what the current tuition cost is. The information below reflects the costs listed on each school’s website on January 1, 2019.

Tuition: The price set by the institution for classes. However, some school websites list the price of classes along with some (or all) additional fees, while others only list the cost of classes. When possible, I have tried to list tuition to reflect just the cost of classes (without any additional fees), but have made notes explaining the figure given.

Tuition prices can change frequently, so visit each program’s website directly for the most up to date information. The Tuition page has been linked for your convenience.

Time to Complete Program: The time frame (in months) in which a program is designed to complete. Keep in mind that the actual amount of time spent in school may vary depending on your particular circumstances and the particular institution.

Notes: In the event that some of the information provided was not immediately clear, notes where made to explain the information.
