Taoist Philosophy and Meditation
Tao means the way. Essentially it is a practical philosophy and physical system of achieving your goals and desires in life. Developed by the teachers of old Lao Tsu and passed on from teacher to student for generations. You can say it is the art of longevity. During the next year we will study a variety of ancient and modern authors of the Tao.
We will also practice three distinct taoist meditations

The Micro Orbit Meditation
Chinese Qi Kung Exercises
Qi Kung refers to the long and arduous practice of physical movement and controlled breathing techniques. This course will cover at least three unique and powerful Qi Kung techniques. We will start with the famous Tai Chi Qi Kung exercises. That will be followed by the age old practice of Eight treasure Exercises developed by General Yow to invigorate his down cast army. And finally the 16th Century Taoist Dragon Gate Qi Kung designed for health and spiritual development.
Anatomy and Physiology
This course provides a general study of the human body's normal structure and function. It covers the major organ systems of the body, including the skeletal, muscular, nervous, endocrine, circulatory, lymphatic, respiratory, reproductive and digestive systems. Emphasis is placed on the complex nature of the body, the interrelationship of the organs, and the body's ability to adapt to the environment.
