How long are the programs?
The Oriental Medicine program is a four-year academic program that can be completed in only 36 months. The full program length is 135 weeks, with 2738 classroom hours and 151 credit hours. Students review holistic health care modalities while studying Chinese medicine. The Massage Therapy program is a 7-1/2 month, 607-hour program. What are Acupuncture & Massage Colleges admissions requirements?
Before signing up for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine training, applicants should make sure the college of their choice is fully accredited. Acupuncture & Massage College is a nationally accredited Oriental Medicine college with standardized entrance requirements. Master of Oriental Medicine Degree program applicants must have completed 60 semester credits at the baccalaureate level from an accredited institution. At least 19 of the 60 credits must be in general education or liberal arts courses. Massage Therapy program applicants must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED equivalency.
When should I apply for admission?
A student may be accepted for admission to either program at any time prior to the beginning of an Oriental Medicine program semester or Massage Therapy program module start date, providing there is still available space. As Acupuncture and Massage Therapy class sizes are limited, applicants are encouraged to apply early. When do classes begin?
Oriental Medicine program semester terms begin in September, October, January and April. Massage Therapy program class start dates are on a monthly basis. Both day and evening class schedules are offered.
Is financial aid available?
Various financing opportunities are available to students. These include: Pell Grants, Direct Loans, Florida Bright Future Scholarships, Veterans Benefits, and outside lenders.
