Celebrate Acupuncture And Oriental Medicine Day With A Free Acupuncture Treatment

In recognition of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Day, all new Acupuncture & Massage College Community Clinic patients will receive an initial free 30-minute acupuncture treatment for either stress reduction or pain control.

Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Day, celebrated annually October 24, was created to raise awareness of the benefits of acupuncture - a viable form of medicine with a 3,000-year history. The national observance is recognized by organizations in the field of acupuncture and Oriental medicine, and spearheaded by the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).

Acupuncture & Massage College’s Community Clinic is a holistic care provider that brings beneficial and cost effective solutions to your health conditions. Whether you are seeking care for an acute or chronic condition, or relaxation and enhanced wellness, the Clinic’s therapies can be tailored to your individual health care needs. Clinic practitioners can create a personalized treatment program for you that focuses on your healing path. Clinic services include: Acupuncture, Shiatsu and Swedish massage, and Chinese herbal medicine therapy.

By utilizing a combination of acupuncture, massage and herbal formulas, AMC’s Clinic services can treat a wide range of conditions including: Sleep disorders, allergies, addictions, chronic pain, arthritis, concentration difficulties, digestive problems, fatigue, headaches and migraines, sciatica, and joint pain, among others.

Acupuncture can effectively treat a wide range of stress-related conditions, such as depression, anxiety and insomnia. Stress can manifest as a general pain condition, elevated blood pressure, insomnia, digestive disorders, and headache. Acupuncture reduces stress levels by increasing levels of endorphins, natural pain-killing chemicals in the brain. Acupuncture can lower levels of cortisol, the body’s stress hormone, which when elevated causes blood pressure to rise and may lead to immune system suppression and illness.

Acupuncture effectively treats acute and chronic pain conditions including fibromyalgia, arthritis, tendonitis, headaches and migraine, strains and sprains, and knee and hip osteoarthritis, among others. Medication, physical therapy and various forms of exercise often utilized in allopathic care of pain conditions may not result in effective pain management. Many patients receiving acupuncture experience reduced pain and improved function within a few treatment sessions.
