| Dear Prospective
Student:
Thank you for your inquiry to our massage and
acupuncture school. We are the oldest school of Alternative Medicine
in the state of Florida and we
offer two distinct and different courses of study: a seven-month massage
therapy school and a Master of Oriental Medicine school with a degree.
The Acupuncture & Massage College is accredited by ACCST
and by ACAOM, thus giving our students the ability to apply for
financial aid.
Seven-month
Massage Therapy Program
The Acupuncture & Massage Colleges seven and one-half month Massage
therapy program is an extremely diversified course of study. Ever
since our inception, we have sought to provide our students with a
specialized and comprehensive program and with Instructors who are
experienced and qualified in their field.
Our 607-hour Massage Therapy core curriculum meets State and National
standards. Over the years we have maintained a specialty in Oriental
bodywork with comprehensive training in Japanese Shiatsu. Spas and
Health Clubs clearly pay more for practitioners of Shiatsu Massage,
thereby giving our graduates an advantage in the market place.
Oriental
Medicine Program
Our Master of Oriental Medicine Degree is a four-year, nationally
accredited Acupuncture college program, designed to be completed in
just 36-months. At the Acupuncture & Massage College our faculty is
handpicked, specialized in their field, and dedicated to their students.
Our classes are small to moderately sized, giving students the opportunity
for greater class participation and faculty interaction. Graduates
of the Acupuncture & Massage College are eligible to sit for their
National Acupuncture, Chinese Herb and Oriental Medicine exams.
In addition to classes in Traditional Chinese Medicine, students are
trained in Oriental bodywork, Qi Kung, and Oriental Food Therapy.
We offer an extensive program in Western Physical Examination, and
Supervised Clinical Practice. Our intention is to familiarize our
students with both Eastern and Western medicine so that they will
be able to better communicate with their patients and the medical
community. This ability encourages respect and referrals from other
health professionals.
Financial
Aid
Our students can apply for Federal Financial Aid in the form of Pell
Grants and Federal Student Loans. Make an appointment with our Financial
Aid Director to determine how much money you can qualify for. In addition
students are eligible for Student Visas and VA benefits.
In both our Massage Therapy and Oriental Medicine programs, we pride
ourselves in having high student satisfaction and high pass rates
on our National licensing exams. We encourage you to call our Admissions
Director or stop by and visit our school.
In health,
